She was a strong, lovely woman
Who danced through time unabashedly
Always ready for the music
And the songs that swept her life.

Folk Festival Queen
She held the goodness of a generation
In her arms
Sparkling with expectancy and giving everything
To those lucky enough to be her friends.

How does one say good-bye to a woman of importance?
Someone who worked so hard for what she believed?
She created the memories for more than one lifetime
And reminded us that our spirits were free.

Thank you, Lenore, for the beauty in our lives
And the songs in our hearts
You have given us the music
To keep us forever dancing.
