Priorities: I have worked hard to improve basic services and education, expand health care, keep our communities safe, and position Montgomery County as an economic engine and biotechnology leader. We have doubled spending on affordable housing and revitalized central business districts, with Silver Spring a premier example. We can ease gridlock by implementing my $1 billion congestion relief program, including an environmentally sound Intercounty Connector.

Priorities: I believe that solving the transportation problem in Montgomery County without raising taxes is a key issue for which all county residents should expect immediate resolution and results. I also pledge to improve the business climate. There is a desperate need for quality jobs in Montgomery County. Better-paying jobs will lead to less crime and an improved quality of life.
